Timeless Interiors: Designing for the Kids of St. Jude

st-jude-timelessAs the 2018 St. Jude Dream Home construction progresses, the time draws nearer for the project to come together for the May 11th reveal to the public. From interior selections at pre- construction to staging direction and color palette, local design firm Timeless Interiors has been integral in cultivating an overall vision. Accomplished designer and owner of  Timeless Interiors, Holly Dixon, simply states that she is donating towards designing the St. Jude Dream Home because it is the “cause of all causes…it is the right thing to do.” Dixon is happy to have the opportunity to help Village Park Homes during this undertaking.

Dixon takes pride in owning a company that understands how good designs are a fad and how great designs are timeless. Along with that, she says “a home is a reflection of the person who lives in it.” Since 2000, Dixon has become an established business owner who continuously stays true to herself.

From a humble beginning working with modest resources out of a traveling trailer to building an expansive retail location and local design powerhouse, Dixon has found an immense amount of success in the past 18 years. Her first business, ‘Mobile Showroom’,  allowed her to conduct design consultations with homeowners at their location and this human connection helped her future customers believe in her vision. As her business grew, the trailer was no longer enough and she knew she needed much more space. Dixon moved to a large warehouse space on Hwy. 278 to manage the growth and then, as the growth continued, she built the spacious Timeless Interiors retail location at 4380 Bluffton Parkway in Bluffton, SC.

Key to her retail success is Dixon’s eye for  unique products at a range of price points, making good design attainable at various investment levels. She prides herself on truly listening to her client’s inner voice during the design process and finds that family heirlooms have great sentimental value. Dixon knows how to take these statement pieces and help them flow in a modern looking space.

Dixon has worked with a wide range of celebrities as well as with HGTV on various design projects. Dixon sets the bar high for herself and at any given time can be managing 20 to 30 plus staging projects. With that being said, she could not do her job  without an incredible group of dedicated employees. The Timeless Interiors team member working closely with Village Park Homes on the design selections and staging process for the St. Jude Dream Home in Richmond Hill, GA is experienced designer, Morgan Allen. When asked about the design approach for the home Allen says:

“The concept for the homes’ design was inspired by the kids from St. Jude. They are bright, intelligent, and colorful.  Like St. Jude itself, I wanted to bring the feeling of hope and richness of spirit to the house by using deep jewel tones mixed with an earthy neutral base so the house is soulful without being heavy. The kids influence is all throughout the home’s design and full of their inspiration.”

Dixon is grateful for the generosity of so many of her valued vendors such as Leather Craft for donating custom designs for the project. Dixon and the entire Timeless Interiors team are certainly looking forward to seeing people’s faces as they walk through the home. Dixon’s hope is that they will appreciate design expertise and the home itself will serve as an inspiration in their own design projects.
