Phillips Electrical Company Contributing to Village Park Homes’ Construction of the St. Jude Dream Home

Screen Shot 2018-03-16 at 11.06.23 AMIn describing his involvement in Village Park Homes’ mission to build the St. Jude Dream Home, Mark Phillips, owner of Phillips Electrical Co., says that this is an opportunity to give back to both a homebuilding company that has done so much for him over the years and to a worthy cause!

Mark Phillips describes himself as a hands on guy as he became involved in homebuilding at the age of 18. Phillips actually built his first home, alongside his father! Upon attending college, where he studied Wildlife Management, Mark was offered jobs in maintenance and electrical work. Before moving to Hilton Head Island, Phillips lived in Virginia. After his move to the Lowcountry, Mark worked for electrical companies and said that since 1997, there have been a lot of opportunities as an electrician and as the owner of an electrical company. Mark has had his electrical license since 1982 and has run his company ‘Phillips Electrical Company’ since February of 2000.

As an industry partner for Village Park Homes’ mission to build a St. Jude Dream Home, Phillips says it was a “no brainer” because Phillips has a loyalty to his local business partners. Mark Phillips is honored to work alongside Village Park Homes and we are extremely happy to have him on board during this process that began in the fall of 2017!

According to Phillips, Cregger Lighting is donating 75% of the materials.  Other partner donations include panel boxes, switch gears, and breakers. Phillips is responsible for the installations of all of these processes.

Phillips has put in a lot of effort towards the construction of the St. Jude Dream Home in Richmond Hill, GA; he is working towards making the electrical system the absolute best it can be and he knows Village Park Homes’ industry partners are currently working towards this goal as well. He is excited to see the final product when the house opens for tours in May.
